Dostana (meaning "Friendship" in Hindi) is a 2008 Indian Hindi-language
romantic comedy film directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Yash Johar under Dharma
Productions. The film stars Abhishek Bachchan as Sameer "Sam" Acharya, John
Abraham as Kunal Chauhan, and Priyanka Chopra as Neha Melwani.
The story revolves around two male friends, Sam and Kunal, who
are both fun-loving bachelors living in Miami. They face challenges finding affordable
apartments because landlords are hesitant to rent to single men. Desperate for a place to
stay, Sam hatches a plan: they will pretend to be a gay couple.
Their plan works, and they find a beautiful apartment to share with a young
woman named Neha. Both Sam and Kunal begin to develop feelings for Neha, but they
